“A Forest of Techniques” Quilt Class
Join Michelle as she teaches this fun holiday quilt "Inspired by the Trees, Designed for All Quilters".

Just as no two trees are exactly alike, each block in this festive quilt celebrates the diversity of quilt piecing techniques. Inspired by Michelle's parents’ tree farm, this forest-themed sampler invites quilters of all levels to explore and grow their skills.

Throughout the 5-part class series, you’ll create a vibrant quilt featuring 12 unique tree blocks, each highlighting one of four major construction methods: paper piecing, template piecing, ruler piecing, and traditional piecing. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to branch out into new techniques, this project has something for everyone.

The full pattern(s) will be provided in class —just bring your love for fabric and creativity. By the end of the class, you’ll not only have a beautiful holiday quilt, but a forest full of new skills.

Supplies Needed:

The patterns will be provided during the classes. A $25 pattern fee is due directly to the instructor on the first night of class.

Fabrics: 
Background- 2 yds
Red- 1/2 yard assorted
Green- 1-1/2 yds assorted
Gold- 1/8 yard 

Traditional Sashing-

Green - 1/4 yd
Red- 3/4 yd

Pieced Sashing
Green - 1 yd
Red- 1-1/2 yd

- Sewing machine in good working condition.  Don't forget power cord and foot pedal.
- Basic sewing supplies - snips, seam ripper, thread, etc.
- Ruler and rotary cutter.  There are cutting mats available, but feel free to bring a small one if you want too.
- Small iron and pressing mat.  There are pressing stations available if you don't want to bring an iron/mat.
