Victorian Crazy Quilt

Want to learn how to make a fun crazy quilt? A crazy quilt is a patchwork quilt with an unusual design. Unlike traditional quilts with uniform patterns, crazy quilts embrace irregularity and spontaneity. They’re like the artistic rebels of the quilting world!

Join Sherry as she demonstrates basic embroidery stitches, simple beading techniques and attaching fun trinkets to your crazy quilt block. This is a fun way to turn those old ties and thrift store prom dresses into something eye catching and beautiful.

The first two hours of this five hour workshop will be dedicated to creating a 10" block that incorporates beautiful luxurious fabrics like velvets, silks, satins and fancy cottons too! During the second half of class, participants will fill the block with fun embellishments and creative embroidery stitches.

Intermediate sewing level suggested. Select cotton fabrics and basic sewing notions can be purchased at The Fabric Chic. Sherry will provide the 10" foundation block for class.
