Want to learn to Strip(ology)?

Learn to strip effortlessly with your Stripology Ruler in this hands-on technical class. Along with perfecting stripping, you will also learn how to sub-cut, square blocks, make diagonals and so much more. We will also review a few of GE Design patterns and how it is so easy to make her wonderful quilts.

If you don’t have a ruler, that is okay. This would be a great class just to come and see how the ruler works. I can say that you will leave the class wanting to purchase the ruler.

Supply list:

Stripology ruler, preferably the XL or the Square but you can learn with any of them.

Cutting Mat that is larger than the Stripology Ruler you are bringing.

45 mm rotary cutter with new blade. The rotary cutter cannot be one that you have to push down to retract the blade.

1½ yards of cheap muslin fabric or any “junk” fabric that you don’t mind cutting up into different pieces.

Pre-class Homework:

1. Fabric pressed and preferably starched. My starching method is to spray one side, flip over, press, spray again, flip over, and press again. The fabric will start to feel stiff but this helps with getting accurate cuts.

2. Make two 12 ½” blocks. It can just be a piece of fabric but an actual quilt block will enhance the learning experience. Those should also be pressed and starched. Do not square them up.
