Beginner Collage Class - Laura Heine Cactus Queen
Cactus Queen features all of the signature Laura Heine touches – fun colors, an explosion of florals, and a subtle blended background! But even better - the design makes this a perfect pattern for beginners to easily wrap their heads around the Collage process.
We will discuss all of the right tools and techniques for success, and also spend some time on the “Artsy” part of Collage design – grouping, shading, and creating movement in your work.

- Laura Heine's Cactus Queen Pattern, pattern measures 18x24
- A Good selection of fabrics for backgrounds, Cactus and cuttables - the pattern provides information for the recommended sizes and colors
- 3/4 yard of Pattern Ease Foundation
- 6 yards of 12" wide Steam a Seam2 (NOT Lite!)
- #2 Pencil
- Karen K Buckley Perfect Scissors in size Medium - (blue handles)
- Fusing Mat 17 x 24
- Small Rotary Cutter, Mat (12 x 18) and 3x12 Ruler for Rotary Cutting
- A pair of Utility Scissors for Cutting Paper
You do not need to bring a Sewing Machine to class - you will need it later to finish quilting & binding your collage.
