Binding Basics

In this Class we will cover the basics of how to bind a quilt or a quilted project with a double and single fold binding. Machine finish and hand finish will be demonstrated, as well as glue assist, and several tips and tricks to achieve a polished finish for your project.
Students will learn the faux flange technique that many of our shop samples are finished with.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Quilting Ruler at least 12" long
Rotary Cutter
3 Practice quilt Sandwiches, approximately 12 X 12 inches square
3 fat quarters
50 wt thread - coordinating color to your sandwiches & fat quarters
Sewing machine in good working order, don't forget your power cord and pedal
A Walking Foot for your machine
Glue Stick - we prefer SewLine
10-15 Clover Wonder Clips (recommended) or sewing pins
A Stylus is optional
Any other supplies you generally use when sewing
*Minimum Age for this class is 16 years
**Minimum of 4 Students required to hold class
Basic Sewing knowledge is required for this class & familiarity with your sewing machine is strongly encouraged.
