Improv Strata

You Will Need:

A Sewing Machine in Good Working order- don't forget your cords and foot pedal.
Thread, fabric scissors, a small mat & rotary cutter, snips & any other supplies you generally use.

Fabric:
About 1/4 yard worth of scraps for each "Color" you want to make.

If you are making a pillow, you'll want scraps in 3 shades of a single color.  (See Sample in Shop)
The total amount needed will depend on the size of your pillow & how small your pieces are - but bring more than you think you'll use.
This is a great class for sharing scraps!

For the Color Wheel, You'll eventually need 16 colors - but you won't get to all of them during class - so scraps to make 6-8 colors will be enough to start with.

*Minimum of 6 students required to hold class.

**Please arrive 15 minutes early to get set up.
Bring a lunch or order in from one of Parkville's great eating spots!

Instructor: Merrie Ford
Instructor Bio: Merrie has been sewing for 40+ years, and Quilting almost as long. She loves to talk about fabric, color and texture - among friends and in the Classroom! Teaching is just a natural extension of her interests and she loves it when new sewists catch the bug! Merrie's favorite color is Brown- although we will barely be using it in this class! You may catch her drinking coffee, iced tea, eating chocolate or just petting brown fabric during the day!
